Current Perception of Children and Child-Focused Communication Guide

Suna'nın Kızları organizes awareness-raising workshops with communication professionals who play a highly strategic role in transforming and managing childism, aged-based prejudice and discrimination against children. 

After realizing one of the major obstacles to attaining child outcomes is the current perception of children by adults, Suna's Daughters started working on a campaing that focuses on transforming adults’s perception of children ignores child’s ageny and their rights.The first phase aims to raise awareness among professionals in communications sector, who play a highly strategic role in transforming and managing perception. A series of workshops were organized to encourage professionals working in various fields of the communication sector. In the first workshop hosted by the Pera Museum in June, the Child-Focused Communication Guide published by Suna'nın Kızları was shared with the participants. Examples of positive and negative communication were shared and feedback was received for future revisions. Suna'nın Kızları's communication workshops on childism and social perception of children will commence again at the end of the summer.

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Collections Now Available Online

Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation’s collections, which have been displayed at Pera Museum since its founding, are now accessible online. This digital transformation, aimed at sharing art and cultural heritage with a broader audience, allows exploring 2,510 works from the Kütahya Tiles and Ceramics, Orientalist Painting, and Anatolian Weights and Measures collections through the Istanbul Research Institute's online library.

The Suna’s Daughters team was in Mumbai with Girl-Centered Design Support Circle participants to meet with local organizations working for girls. As part of the program, carried out in collaboration with EMpower Foundation, visits were made to girls’ learning communities, advocacy campaigns, and community centres to exchange knowledge and experiences.
