Within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed with the Şanlıurfa Governorship, Suna'nın Kızları initiated efforts to create “Neighborhoods Supporting Children”.
By involving all actors surrounding children in the process, they aim to identify obstacles to children's social, emotional and physical development, ensure their access to educational opportunities that meet their developmental needs, and ensure that they complete this process with the most gains. To this end, they will carry out school and neighborhood-based activities with community stakeholders.
In May and June, they started Social Emotional Learning and School-Based Child Protection Support System teacher training with teachers who volunteered for the work they will carry out in schools on this journey.
In the Social Emotional Learning training, teachers work with children to develop their skills in responsibility and decision-making, building relationships and understanding emotions. In the School-Based Child Protection Support System training; they are working on a content that school administrators and teachers evaluate step by step what to do in accordance with the Child Protection Law in case they encounter a child victim of abuse / violence.
The development and dissemination of the training content is undertaken by community stakeholders KODA, ÖRAV, TEGV and Nirengi Association.
